Jonathan's mentor Hajime Kinoko is an amazing rope artist & performer--an innovator whose work continually pushes the creative boundaries of rope art. Teaching and making art internationally, he also directs the activities of the Ichinawakai (First-Rope Society) in Tokyo, Japan.

Jonathan is one of three people outside of Japan to hold the senior-level teaching certification in Kinoko Hajime's style of Kinbaku.
